About All glasses

Glassware makes every toast feel like a toast. Whether you're building a home bar, shopping for a wedding, stocking a first apartment, or hunting for a housewarming gift the recipient will use weekly, the right glass turns the moment. Glassique Cadeau's complete collection – coupes, martinis, snifters, highballs, flutes, goblets, and specialty cocktail shapes – is hand-blown from lead-free crystal and arrives in our signature gift box, ready to wow at unboxing.

Premium glassware isn't just about how it looks. The right shape changes how a drink tastes – concentrating aroma, regulating temperature, releasing carbonation, and signalling occasion. A coupe says celebration. A snifter says contemplation. A highball says hosting. A lowball says quiet evening. Glassique Cadeau crystal is hand-blown, lead-free, dishwasher-safe (top rack, gentle cycle), and weighted for stability. Every set is built to last decades with reasonable care, and every set ships in our signature gift box with cocktail recipes printed on top.

This collection covers every shape your bar deserves. Start with coupe glasses for cocktails served up. Add whiskey & lowball glasses for the neat pour and the Old Fashioned. Bring champagne flutes and coupes for celebrations. Round out with highball and Collins glasses for spritz and Gin & Tonic. Every shape ships gift-ready, and every set works as a housewarming, wedding, or anniversary gift the recipient will reach for daily.

The technical difference: crystal contains a higher mineral content (historically lead oxide, now usually barium or potassium oxide in lead-free crystal), which gives it greater clarity, brighter refraction (the sparkle), and a ringing sound when tapped. Glass is silica-based without these minerals. Practically: crystal is clearer, more refractive (catches the light), and slightly stronger when properly tempered. Glassique Cadeau uses lead-free crystal – the same brilliance and clarity as traditional lead crystal, with none of the lead leaching concerns for everyday drinking.

Yes – modern lead-free crystal (including all Glassique Cadeau glassware) is dishwasher safe on the top rack with a gentle cycle. To extend the life of any crystal, we recommend: top rack only, gentle cycle, mild detergent, no rinse aid, and let glasses air-dry separated to avoid rim chips. Hand-washing extends life further, especially for delicate stemware. Vintage lead crystal (made with lead oxide, no longer manufactured) should be hand-washed only. Modern lead-free crystal is engineered for daily-use durability.

A complete home bar needs four glass shapes minimum: a lowball (whiskey / Old Fashioned / Negroni), a coupe (cocktails served up – Martini, Cosmopolitan, Manhattan), a highball or Collins (Gin & Tonic, Mojito, spritz), and a champagne flute or coupe (sparkling toasts). Add a snifter for brandy / cognac / nightcap, a wine goblet for table service, and a tasting glass (Glencairn or copita) for whisky flights to round out. Glassique Cadeau covers all of these across the collection.

Lead-free crystal is made from silica (glass) with added barium oxide, potassium oxide, or zinc oxide instead of the traditional lead oxide. The result is the same brilliance, clarity, and refraction (sparkle) as traditional lead crystal – with no lead content. Lead-free crystal is fully food-safe for everyday use, including for acidic drinks like wine, cocktails with citrus, and spirits. Glassique Cadeau uses lead-free crystal across the entire collection, hand-blown for that signature hand-finished feel.

The best glassware gifts are pieces the recipient will actually use weekly. For housewarmings and weddings, a set of coupes or champagne flutes is universal – they get pulled out for every toast. For Father's Day, anniversary, or groomsmen, whiskey lowballs or brandy snifters fit the daily ritual. For a friend who entertains, a hosting set (mixed shapes) works. The Glassique Cadeau signature gift box – with cocktail recipes printed on top – arrives ready to give. The kind of gift that doesn't end up in a cupboard.

Modern lead-free crystal (including all Glassique Cadeau pieces) is dishwasher safe on the top rack with a gentle cycle, but hand-washing extends its life. Use warm water, mild detergent, no abrasive sponges. Air-dry stemware upside down on a stemware rack or rim-up on a cloth – don't dry the inside with a towel (this risks scratches). Store glasses upright on a shelf with space between rims. Avoid stacking, sudden temperature changes (no hot drinks straight from the freezer), and the bottom rack of the dishwasher.

Three shapes, three uses. A coupe is a shallow, rounded stemmed glass for cocktails served up (no ice) – French 75, Sidecar, Cosmopolitan, champagne. A martini glass is a V-shaped stemmed glass for the same drinks, with a more theatrical silhouette. A lowball is a short, wide, heavy-bottomed glass for cocktails served on ice – Old Fashioned, Negroni, whiskey neat. Coupes and martinis are stemmed (your hand doesn't warm the drink); lowballs are stemless (designed for cradling). Each shape changes how the drink presents and tastes.

Glassique Cadeau hand-blown lead-free crystal glasses are dishwasher safe on a gentle, low-temperature cycle – but hand washing is the safer long-term choice for keeping rims smooth and crystal clarity intact. Use warm water and a mild detergent, avoid extreme temperature changes (never put a frozen glass into a hot wash), and air-dry on a soft cloth. For sets with gold rims, painted detail, or hand-cut crystal – the Octagonal Gold-Rim Coupes and the Art Deco Speakeasy Lowballs in particular – hand wash only to preserve the finish.

Yes – lead-free crystal is the modern standard for premium glassware and is safe for everyday use with any beverage. Traditional lead crystal contained up to 32% lead oxide, which improved clarity and weight but could leach trace lead into spirits stored long-term in decanters. Lead-free crystal (sometimes called crystalline or potassium-zinc crystal) uses barium, zinc, or potassium oxides instead, delivering the same brilliance, weight, and ring without the safety concern. Every Glassique Cadeau glass is hand-blown from lead-free crystal and tested to comply with FDA and EU food-contact standards.

Yes – every Glassique Cadeau set ships in our signature gift box, ready to wow at unboxing. The box is structured, branded, and printed with the cocktail recipe for the glass inside (an Old Fashioned recipe with our lowballs, a French 75 with our coupes, a classic Martini with our martini glasses). No additional gift wrap needed. For weddings, housewarmings, engagements, anniversaries, and birthdays, every set is already presentation-ready straight out of the shipping carton.

Yes – Glassique Cadeau offers free standard shipping on every U.S. order over $89. Most sets ship the next business day from our warehouse, with delivery in 3-6 business days. Every shipment is packed with reinforced padding and tracked end-to-end, and any breakage in transit is replaced free of charge. Expedited shipping is available at checkout for time-sensitive gifts (weddings, milestone anniversaries, holiday deadlines).

Hand wash Glassique Cadeau crystal glasses in warm water with a mild detergent, then air-dry upside down on a soft cloth or stemware rack to prevent water spots. Avoid extreme temperature changes – never pour ice into a hot-from-the-dishwasher glass or hot liquid into a refrigerated one, since thermal shock can crack crystal. Store stemware upright (not on the rim) to protect the lip. For gold-rimmed, painted, or hand-cut sets, hand wash only. Lead-free crystal is durable, but it rewards gentle handling – every glass is hand-blown, so each one is unique.
